Battlestar Galactica 'Deadlock' Mini Review

Hi everyone, I thought this episode was a filler. I hope that this means that they are saving up some money and time to do a massive finale with the other episodes to come, however for the most part, I can understand why a lot of people were describing this as 'Battlestar Galactica 90210'.

There was an interesting point in this episode however that some of my friends missed, did you?

• The scene in the sick bay had a moment when Saul looked back at Ellen in an adoring way and at that very moment the baby flat-lined. Saul said, 'no, wait, that was me!' as if confirming that his wavering love is what allowed the baby to die. Very similar theme to the Fifth Element if you ask me.
  

Am I reading too much into it?
